Photo Documentation
The sections below present documented photographic evidence of the hull condition at different stages: initial osmosis, post-repair state, and the later reappearance of defects.
Original Osmosis on a 2.5-Year-Old Boat
The initial osmotic blistering was present on both sides of the hull, concentrated just below the waterline as well as across the underwater section of the boat. The defects were visible along multiple areas of the submerged hull surface.
Immediately After the First Repair (May ’24)
…16 Months Later
This section documents the recurrence of osmotic blistering approximately 16 months after the first repair, along with additional surface degradation. Visible defects include blister formation, gelcoat delamination, and localized peeling across the entire underwater hull area, including areas previously repaired.
Awaiting Second Hull Repair (2026)
This section will document the preparation of the second hull repair, including the grinding process performed to expose the previous repair and assess the underlying laminate structure. A complete photographic record of the repair will be published here, covering the exposed structural details, repair methodology, and the full reconstruction process through to final finishing
